This.
and yes it is Apples and Bananas. But I think everyone agrees the Z4M is a sexier beast. Hence why we don't get called "Clownshoes"

z4m looks sleeker and just more sporty. z3 has a practical look to it. still a classic though

Well, he parked around the area I always park and I had yet to see it before. He will be in for treat when he comes out and see's they stopped making the Coupe when they got it right.
As far as a z3 in general goes I would only own the coupe. Bet it is a lot of fun on a closer dift course of course... |

Not the fairest comparison as the Z3M is sitting on smaller rims.
I will say this, while the Z3M is a nice looking car and holds up well, I never lusted for it, like I lusted for the Z4MC when it came out. |

I also have to agree with dubsesd. My children have a real hard time with the Z3 coupe. Personally I really like both coupes. I have never owned a Z3, but remember fondly looking at my neighbor's Z3 roadster. I really liked the rounded lines of the Z3's and the gills on the side or whatever they are. It took me a while to get used to the creases in the Z4 when they came out, but after seeing one in the parking lot at work over and over again, I became acclimatized to the Z4' s and had to get one. If I had checked out this forum before buying, I probably would have opted for an M. It wasn't until I was digging mine and drooling, that I started to look for a forum. Someday, I would like to have a Z3 coupe to compliment my roadster, but alas that is probably a pipe dream. I see a lot of Z3 roadsters on the road, but rarely see the coupe.

I always wanted a clown shoe but I ended up with the Z4MC. No complaints. Though, if my garage and budget ever expand significantly (and my significant other's tolerance) I would love to have the Z3MC too.

Ok, I'll be the first. The Z3 ROADSTER was a classic roady small, curvy, sexy! In the same vein as the Shelby Cobra. There were probably a million ways to make it into a beautiful little coupe with complimentary roof lines. BMW chose none of them. The Z3 coupe is the fugliest squatty station wagon ever conceived. I mumbled WTF the first time I saw one and still wonder just what they were thinking today. Did someone really say "It needs to be long and bent, like a hot dog" or "Studies show sports coupe drivers want something they can deliver long baguettes in" Thank God the Z4 coupe came out normal. I was concerned until I saw it. They had a second chance, and the Z4 was done right.
There. I may be alone on this one. I dont like the Audi TT either. But it just had to be said.
