Sonax wheel cleaner
I tried this out for the first time yesterday. Spray it on, wait a few minutes and rinse off. Then wash the wheel off. I usually rinse off the wheels real well then wash em. After I rinsed off the product it took off most of the brake dust. I was surprised as it worked well. I am glad I bought this.

If you want to enhance its effectiveness, I highly recommend the Kwazar Mercury Pro + Spray Bottle. I also recommend the Daytona Speed Master Wheel Brush. |

the smooth surface can be had by claying and polishing.
a great slick feeling protection would be Menzerna Power Lock. |

It's very good stuff, but the smell. I have to wear a mask when I use that.

I wash my car with a pressure washer and it makes life so much easier. Especially since I always wash my own car. I just make sure the pressure is adjusted correctly.
The pressure washer gets about 95% of the brake dust off the wheels. Then I just used a black microfiber and some product to wash the wheels. I find a microfiber is quicker and easier than brushes. It also removed almost all of the debris on the paintwork, which helps reduce any chance of scratches. Then use a soap attachment to soak the car in foam.. use a mitt to wash it down, spray it clean and it's ready for quick detail / sealant or just leave it at that.
