M5 speed limiter

Is there really a limit on the M5 for 155 Mph? I've passed 155 plenty of times

no you haven't. use a better source like a gps and you will see that 166 or so on the hud equals 155 real world. Car speedometers are "down tuned" for safety and legal purposes.

Really? I never knew that , I've hit 170 well at least I thought I did but I have a picture of 160

yeah.. I hit the limiter showing around 166 on the autobahn... you can feel the acceleration just stop.

BMW actually as a math problem for what the display shows vs. actual... It's like .98 x actual MPH +0/-3 MPH

I hit 167 mph indicated and it was still pulling. I didn't even know I hit the limiter until I looked at the mph.

+1 limits at 167 (269km/h) in 6th gear @ 5400RPM. Had to look at my gopro vids from AutoB.

As mentioned it's not really 167 on a gps.

1850 km is like 1145miles... was this your unleash the beat run, just after break -in?
Second, that unlimited speed limit sign in the display... how I long to see that pop up in my HUD again

Correct first morning after break in service on the A5 outside of Baden Baden.

My wife and I speak about going back just about every week =).

Doesn't matter what vehicle we drive a GPS is a must to determine speed. On our 80 mph + jet skis we use a garmin
