Low coolant and dealer

So I get the low coolant light warning last week and check the coolant tank for intercooler and find it at min. I call dealership and was told that its normal for bmw to use coolant as they have to top them up all the time? So a week later get another warning this time not the circuit for intercooler as it was fine it was for the rad. I have not noticed and coolant leaking on my driveway.

Question for you all, is it normal for M5 to go down on coolant? My car has 64000km and had 59000km when I got it. I have owned lots of cars and never had to top up coolant?
